Mandya: Actor turned politician Ramya seems to be stoking one controversy or the other with the aim of hogging the limelight. Even as the rage around her pro-Pakistan comment is still on, the actor made yet another comment targeting the BJP and the RSS stating that India got its Independence because of the Congress, while the BJP and the RSS remained hand in gloves with the British.
Addressing the students while taking part in the NSUI in Mandya on Tuesday Ramya said that the RSS and the BJP did not contribute to Independence movement at all.

The students had brought 3500 sqft long tri-coloured flag in the jata. However, when the students pounced to see Ramya, a part of the flag was torn, which the organisers cleverly hid from the cameras.
