Mandya: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumaraswamy filed his nomination as the Janata Dal (S) candidate from Mandya constituency, here on Monday, March 25.

Nikhil Kumaraswamy along with his father CM HDK, mother MLA Anitha Kumaraswamy, uncle Public Works Department Minister H D Revanna, Water Resource Minister D K Shivakumar and District In-Charge Minister C S Puttaraju visited the Deputy Commissioner’s office to file nomination.

Before filing the nomination, Nikhil and his family visited various temples of the district and later participated in a road show, which attracted thousands of people.

Because of a huge gathering, routes were completely diverted to avoid traffic congestion.

Meanwhile. Nikhil was made aware by his family that there were inching towards the auspicious time prescribed by the astrologer.

As the information was passed on, Nikhil stopped his rally abruptly and rushed towards the DC’s Office where he filed his nomination with Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer N Manjushree.
