Mandya: The mortal remains of CRPF (Central Reserve Police force) jawan H Guru who was martyred in the Pulwama tragedy reached his residence at Gudigere village, here on Saturday, February 16, where his wife Kalavati received the body by saluting it.

As the mortal remains reached the village, every individual present was in tears, remembering the great sacrifice.

Thousands of people, who had gathered to pay their last respect, saluted the ‘Brave Heart’.

Arrangements were made at his residence for the public to pay their last respect.

As it was already late, the body was then taken towards the land nearby allotted by the state government for his last rites.

His last rites will be performed according to Madiwala community rituals.
