Mandya: Mandya bandh evokes Good response

Mandya: Mandya City observed bandh against the State Government for not responding to the farmers’ protest demanding hike in sugarcane prices and hike in milk prices.

Mandya City bandh at the District Headquarters called by the Farmers’ Association, evoked a good response, with traders in major commercial areas shutting down shops in support of the bandh. Most of the shops on V. Road, Guttalu Road, R. P. Road, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Road (Nooradi Road), Bannur Road, Hosalli Road, Vinoba Road and Bengaluru – Mysuru Highway remained closed.

The protesters also closed the doors of shops that were doing business in the morning, and also disrupted hotel business.
