Mandya Income Tax office emerges as cleanest government building

Mandya: As per the assessment of government buildings done under the Swachh Bharat Mission, the Income Tax office has emerged cleanest government building in Mandya.

The second and third cleanest government offices ranks have been bagged by Office of the Executive Engineer, Visveswaraya Canal Division, and the office of the Executive Engineer, Department of Public Works, Ports, Inland and Water Transport (PWD)respectively.

Reportedly, ‘Swachh Sarvekshan’ survey was conducted by the Mandya City Municipal Council (CMC), in which the remaining top 10 rankings have been bagged by the office of the Superintendent of Police, Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB), Head Post Office, Department of Women and Child Development, Excise Department, Mandya City Municipal Council and Regional Transport Office.

There are over 100 government offices in Mandya. The survey was conducted under various parameters including the availability of dustbins, sanitation infrastructure, cleanliness of toilets, cleanliness of the entire building, solid waste management and overall maintenance of the office (both inside and the premises).
