Mandya: A tipper cleaner died on the spot after the tipper he was operating came in contact with a live electric wire on Sunday November 13.

The incident happened at Hosa Holalu village in K R Pete Taluk.

The deceased has been identified as Kanthappa (35), a native of Babaladi village, Indi taluk of Vijayapura District. It is said that Kanthappa raised the lift of the tipper while dumping soil for unloading. In the action, the lorry came in contact with a live electric wire, which was above the lorry.

Kanthappa died on the spot. K R Pete Police registered a case and further investigation is on.
