Mandya: “Justice has prevailed on me and the people of Mandya with the Election Commission ensuring the transfer of Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner N Manjushree for her biased scrutiny of the Congress-Janata Dal (S) coalition candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy’s nomination”, said independent candidate from Mandya Lok Sabha constituency, Sumalatha Ambareesh, here on Wednesday, April 10.
Addressing a gathering during her election campaign at Pandavapura, she taunted Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy stating, “Keeping in mind that party in power will misuse the election officer, the decision to transfer Manjushree was taken. Haven’t they transferred any officers in their tenure? How will this transfer affect JDS?”
Countering the allegations made by Nikhil that she only accuses and does not speak about the Mandya’s development, she challenged him that she was ready to debate on the development topic of Mandya with him anytime, anywhere and at any place.
On the political developments of Sandalwood actor Darshan’s fans joining the JDS party, she said, “Sandalwood actors Darshan and Yash have fans across political fraternity. Now that Darshan’s fans have joined the JDS, they must introspect on their decision.”
