Mandya: In a big shocker to the JD(S) which lost its bastion, K R Pet (Mandya district) to BJP in the recently held Assembly by-elections, another party MLA from the district has extended his support to the ruling state government.

Nagamangala MLA Suresh Gowda, who is often found in Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa’s company, stated that he will support the government for the next three and a half years.

“In the event of any number games, my support will be for BSY,” he stated in Mandya, raising a few questions about the JD(S) party in the district.

“BSY is doing a good job. He is a pro-development leader. His government shall complete its tenure,” he stated

His statement comes amidst reports that a few JD(S) MLAs led by former minister and MLA G T Devegowda, are planning to switch sides.
