Mandya: Actor Nikhil Kumaraswamy, son of Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, will file his nomination papers from the Mandya Lok Sabha constituency today. CM HDK, his wife MLA Anitha Kumaraswamy and his father, former prime minister H D Devegowda will be present on the occasion.

According to the JDS district unit, over 2 lakh party activists will participate in the rally organised as part of the nomination paper filing.

Police have made elaborate arrangements across the city to maintain law and order. Additional police personnel from across the district have also been rushed to the city as part of the security measures.

Meanwhile, the Bengaluru-Mysuru National Highway is expected to be choked due to the rally.
