Mandya: Fooling people with four candidates by the name Sumalatha will never pay off, said Sandalwood actor Yash here on Monday, April 8.

The actor campaigning for Mandya Lok Sabha constituency independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh, was welcomed with flower showers by the villagers of Halaguru in Malavalli town.

Addressing the gathering, he said, “Actor/politician Late M H Ambareesh has served in politics without any corruption charges. Taking note of this, I request you to vote for Sumalatha Ambareesh and help her emerge victorious.”

“Vote for candidate number 20, with a logo of farmer blowing a trombone and help her win with a great margin, so that the district can see development”, he added.

He accused the Congress and Janata Dal (S) coalition of deliberately placing three more candidates with same name Sumalatha.

Yash said, “Their strategy of misguiding people will never pay off by creating a name confusion.”

Meanwhile, Sumalatha supporters from both the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party were seen holding their respective party flags together.
