Mandya/Bengaluru: In spite of getting ticket, actor, Congress leader Ambareesh seems to be reluctant to contest the polls from Mandya.

This has turned out to be a huge head ache for the Congress. His close associate Amaravati Chandrashekhar had a long discussion on the issue with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday.

Meanwhile, CM Siddaramaiah will be on Mysuru tour on Sunday (today) and he is expected to meet the former minister and clear picture is expected to emerge soon.

It’s known that Ambareesh was disappointed when Siddaramaiah dropped him from the cabinet reasoning health issues, even without informing him.

There were rumors that Ambareesh may jump to JDS, but there are no such developments, Amaravati Chandrashekhar clarified. If Ambareesh won’t contest, former MLA H B Ramu may contest from the constituency, it is said. Former minister Athmananda too is said to be busy lobbying for the Congress ticket from Mandya.
