Mandya: In a fatal road accident near Mysuru, three persons including a Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Corporator were killed on spot on Sunday morning, July 17.

The deceased have been identified as Mahesh Babu (40), corporator from Lakkasandra ward number 146, Bengaluru, and his two friends Bala (39) and Mida Sharif (46), both residents of Lakkasandra, Bengaluru.

According to police, the accident occurred near Gowripura, Shirangapatna taluk, while the trio was heading towards Mysuru city in a car.

The driver of the car lost control, hit the road median and toppled, police said.
