Mandya: Housing Minister M H Ambareesh on Wednesday expressed his anguish over the recent publication of a photograph of him kissing a girl and asked whether it was wrong to show affection to daughters and granddaughters.

“I do not want to talk to you. You always twist and misinterpret whatever I say… You report saying I am in a relationship if I kiss my daughter and granddaughter. Don’t we have the freedom to show affection to our daughters and granddaughters just because we are in politics?” he asked reporters.

A section of the Congress workers in Mandya had reportedly complained to the party high command against his public behaviour recently.

It is learnt that the workers had also submitted a photograph of the minister kissing a girl.

The photograph was in circulation in the social media.
