Mysuru: Four dacoits including a minor were arrested by Mandi Police, after they looted a man and snatched his cash and mobile phone, recently. It is said that the police nabbed the culprits within eight hours of the crime. They have been identified as Ganga, Vinayaka, Pavan and a minor boy.
It has been reported that the four, had looted a person named, Ravi of K.R. Pet near J.K. Grounds, threatened him and made away with Rs. 4,000 cash and a mobile phone. Ravi then lodged a complaint with Mandi Police, after which the Station Inspector Lakshmikanth Talwar and staff, rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and began their investigations.
The police after taking necessary information from the victim, prepared sketches of the accused and formed two teams to nab the miscreants. The police teams, which began their investigations, searched the Railway Station, Bus Stand and also informed the police personnel at the check post on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Highway.Based on the information, they learnt that few suspects were hiding at a private bus stand near the old RMC and arrested them at about 3.30 pm the same day.
Police have recovered Rs. 2,800 cash and mobile phone from the accused and produced them before a Magistrate who remanded them to judicial custody while the minor boy was sent to a remand home.
