Mysuru: A man who impregnated a woman promising her of marriage, but went on to marry another woman for money, landed in police net on Wednesday.
Shivakumar (35) is the accused.

It is said that Shiva Kumar befriended the 32-year-old woman, who remained maiden due to a slight streak of mental disability.

The woman who used to be alone at home throughout the day fell prey to Shivakuamr, who established physical relationship with her. When the woman was two months pregnant, Shivakumar went on to have marriage alliance with another woman, reportedly for money.

The news of his marriage to another woman left the victim in a state of depression.

When the family members noticed behavioural changes in the victim, they quizzed her and discovered that she was abused by Shivakumar.

The parents of the victims filed a police complaint with Udayagiri police, who nabbed him and produced before the court. He has been remanded to judicial custody.
