Mysore: Another report of a man being killed in a Tiger attack has been observed in less than a week at Chikkabaragi village of H D Kote taluk at Mysore on Tuesday December 3, to which the central government has now ordered shoot at sight for the prediator.
The deceased has been identified as 60-year-old, Shivamallappa Basappa who was mangled to death by the tiger and only parts of his leg and skull were found remaining.
The incident occurred close to the Hediyala Forest Range, where officials had called off the search for the tiger after the first attack, on which the angry villagers agitated on the Bandipur Project Tiger office at Chikkabaragi.
As there were two deaths reported less than a week, and cases witnessed earlier as well the central government thus passed a notice to shoot the predicator on sight.
According to the locals the tiger has become a havoc in the surrounding and people are frightened to go out in the open.
It is learnt that around 10 am on Tuesday, Basappa took his cattle out for grazing. When he failed to return in the evening even after the cattle had come home, his son Mahesh went out in search only to find parts of his body.
