Mysuru: In a horrific incident, a youth was reportedly murdered and dumped front of his own house on Saturday, May 14.

The deceased Dinesh (28), employed in idol polishing business was reportedly strangled by a wire and killed. His body was later dumped front of his own house in the wee hours of the morning.

He was a resident Jayanagar. He left home on Friday morning in the pretext of going to Nanjangud and was dropped near Ashokapuram railway station by one of his friends. Later in the evening, he was seen drinking at a bar on Manandwadi Road by locals.

Initial reports suggested that he was killed during midnight. As the body was found lying in front of his own house, the police suspect that known acquaintances maybe involved in the heinous crime. Residents of the locality were shocked by the incident because they felt he did not have enmity with anyone.

Ashokapuram police have registered a case and are investigating.
