Mysuru: A man succumbed at the hospital after his close relatives assaulted him over his alleged extra marital affair with his mother-in-law at Yadathore village of T Narsipur Taluk on August on September 1.

Mahesh, aged 32 is the deceased. He was married to a girl from the same village and had a child.

It is alleged that he was involved in an extra marital affair with his mother-in-law. It is learnt that he was forcing her to provide him cash to buy a new bike before Ganesha festival. At the same time, father in-law arrived and spotted him with the lady. Few other family members, who too were aware of the relationship joined him and assaulted Mahesh inflicting serious injuries. He was later rushed to KR hospital in Mysuru where he succumbed.

Four accused surrender

Police managed to record Mahesh’s statement before his death where he has mentioned the names of the accused involved in the assault. In the meantime four accused surrendered at the T Narsipur police station and the rest five are absconding. Police are on the lookout for other five relatives involved in the crime.
