Kushalnagar: Two elephants were given ceremonial send off in Kushalnagar on Saturday, as they embarked on their journey to take part in the glorious Dasara festival for this year.

Vijaya (40) and Cauvery (45), elephants from Anekadu camp were sent in two lorries to Nagapura elephant camp near Hunsuru after traditional puja rituals at the home camp.

The elephants will be sent to participate in Mysuru Dasara before end of this month.

The resplendent Dasara will be celebrated from October 1 to 11, this year in Royal City of Mysuru.
