Madikeri: Two persons died in a head-on collision between a car and a scooter here near Kaggodlu in Madikeri Rural Police Station limits on October 13.

The deceased are K Charan (32) from Hoddur in Cherambane and Kivin (33) from Cheyyandane.

On Friday, Kivin along with Charan were heading towards Madikeri on a scooter at around 10 am. A tourist car arriving from the opposite direction at the same time lost balance and hit the scooter.

Both Kivin and Charan suffered serious injuries and died on the spot.

A case has been registered in Madikeri Rural Police Station in this regard and car driver Mahantesh has been arrested.
