Madikeri: A twenty one-year-old student of Kaveri Womens’ Degree College committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence.

The deceased, Monika, daughter of Basavaraju who is a mason by profession, was pursuing her second year B Com at the college. Reportedly, she decided to take the extreme step after being scolded by her parents over her academic performance.

Ponnampete police have registered a case and probe is on.
