Madikeri: A pillion passenger died on the spot and the rider suffered grievous injuries, when their scooter rammed into a private bus at Kadagadalu on June 15.

Lingappa (50), resident of Murnadu is the deceased person.

The incident occurred when the scooterist tried overtaking a private bus on the way to Madikeri from Siddapur. Pillion rider died instantly after he was thrown off the two-wheeler.

Injured rider Tanu Thammiah who suffered grievous injuries is admitted at the district hospital.
