Madikeri: The local court during the proceedings on April 3, has asked DySP Ganapathy’s brother Machaiah to file objections against B-report filed by CID on or before April 10.
It may be recalled that Ganapathi’s son Nehal had given his consent to the “B-Report” filed by the CID on September 29. But Ganapathi’s father Kushalappa, mother Ponnamma, brother Machaiah and sister Sabitha had moved the court seeking that they should be considered as complainants in the DySP Ganapathi suicide case after Nehal’s withdrawal from the case. Nehal had withdrawn citing his education and future getting affected, in case he gets embroiled in the case further.
The court which deferred hearing in the case on few occasions earlier finally gave an opportunity to DySP Ganapathy’s brother to file objections within a week, against the B -report submitted by CID.
It may be recalled, DySP Ganapathi had ended his life in a hotel room in Madikeri in July 2016 after giving a television interview stating that two IAS officers and the then home minister K J George were responsible for his death.
The future of the case which raised lot of storm in the state political and administrative circles now hinges on the nature of objections against the CID’s B-report.
