Madikeri: A G Aishwarya, a pre university student from Kodagu led the all-girls National Cadet Corps (NCC) contingent at the Republic Day Parade held at Rajpath, New Delhi, on January 26.

A student of St. Joseph’s PU College in Madikeri, Aishwarya had been dreaming of participating in the parade from early childhood. Her father Ganesh, mother Monthi were among those witnessing the parade and cheered their daughter right through.

Aishwarya belongs to the 19KAR Battalion and was included in the team trained and led by Major Raghavan. She aspires to join the Indian Air Force and become a fighter pilot.

Aishwarya has an excellent academic record and is equally good in co-scholastic activities.
