Madikeri: The JD(S) has demanded arrest of former Minister K J George and has also demanded the Income Tax department to initiate a probe into his assets and holdings.

JD(S) District spokesperson P S Bharath said that resignation of George and FIR against him and two other IPS officers is not an answer to DySP M K Ganapathi suicide case.

“George must be arrested. A probe must be initiated to expose the secret of his assets that he amassed in a very short span, he said pressing for suspension of two IPS officer- Pranab Mohanthy and AM Prasad.

The party district unit also proposes to hold a protest rally in Madikeri on July 29 pressing for the said demands.
