Madikeri: Kodava movie ‘Telang Neer’ will be released at the Kaveri Kalashetra auditorium (Town Hall) on January 15.

The movie story revolves around the life of an Indian army soldier after retirement. The various incidents of his life then unfold. The movie depicts starting his life all over again from scratch and the innumerable difficulties encountered thereafter.

“The movie has won audience world wide as it shows the modern living style and its effect on local agriculture, environment and culture threadbare”, as according to movie director Gopi Peenya.

The movie received the best Karnataka regional language film award from the state government for the year 2015. The movie was shown to audience in the United States of America as a part of two international film fares.  The movie was chosen in four categories at the London Portsmouth film festival and competed with other contemporary movies from across the world.

Telang Neer will be shown first at the Kaveri Kalshetra auditorium at 10.30 on January 15 morning. Dignitaries from Kodagu have been invited for the first show and are asked to express their opinion. Subsequently the movie can be seen by film goers twice daily at 10.30 AM and 7 PM on all days from January 15 to 21.
