Madikeri: Two persons have been arrested in Suntikoppa murder case and wife of the victim and her paramour have been nabbed.
District police superintendent P Rajendra Prasad said that an illicit affair is said to be the reason behind the murder of Rajalingam(45) which occured on June 24.
A beheaded body of Ramalingam was found in Makkandur village. Suntikoppa Madhuramma layout resident Rajalingam’s wife Mani and her lover Ummar(40) from the same layout have been arrested in connection to the murder case.
SP Rajendra Prasad said that they have also traced the missing head and one leg of the victim after interrogating accused Ummar.
Earlier victim’s wife Mani had filed a missing complaint at Suntikoppa police station on June 16.
It is learnt that Mani got in touch with Ummar who is a jeep driver carrying labourers to the farms. Rajalingam who found about his wife’s affair used to quarrel with her. Following this, Mani along with her lover Ummar planned to eliminate Rajalingam. On June 13 Ummar took Rajalingam near an estate and murdered him.
Police have also recovered weapons used by the accused for the murder.
