Ganapathi suicide case: Hearing of considering kin as complainants postponed to Dec 31

Madikeri: A court in Madikeri has postponed hearing into DySP M K Ganapathi suicide case to December 31.

Departmental certificate graded Ganapathi as 'very good officer'-1A petition to consider Ganapathy’s father, mother, brother and sister as complainants in the suicide case was filed on September 29. The court had fixed the hearing for October 24. However, now the court has postponed the hearing to December 31.

On September 29, Nihal, son of M K Ganapathy accepted the B-Sheet report filed by the CID into the case, but soon Ganapathy’s father, mother, brother and sister had urged the court through their advocate to consider them as the complainant in the case.

DySP M K Ganapthy had ended life couple of months ago in a hotel room in Madikeri after giving a television interview where he alleged that he was facing harassment at the hands of former home minister K J Goerge and two IAS officers. However, K J George who stepped down from his position pertaining to this case was later given clean-chit.
