Madikeri: Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Polyclinic in Madikeri will provide telemedicine starting April 9 and Lt. Gen. Hariz, General Officer Commanding-in–Chief of Southern Command will inaugurate the same.

Lt. Gen. R K Anand visited the ECHS hospital today to oversee the arrangements prior to inauguration on Sunday. He interacted with the team of doctors and staff to gather information on the new facility.

Lt. Gen. Hariz will visit Gen.Thimmaiah memorial site “Sunny Side”, once residence of the former Chief of Indian Army. He will later pay a visit to Gonikoppa to assess the possibilities of installing the statues of late Generals from Kodagu, Field Marshal K M Cariappa and Gen. Thimmiah there. He is likely to hold discussions with the concerned on the same matter during his visit, army sources revealed.
