Madikeri: A doctor was found dead during the wee hours of Sunday in Kushalanagar of Kodagu district. According to the police, the deceased is Dr. Dilip, who was running a private clinic in the city.

The police sources, who suspect it could be a murder say that the hands and legs of the medico were tied, and his mouth was stashed with chillipowder before being plastered. Senior police officers from Bylakuppe, Periyapatna, and Kushalanagar rushed to the spot.

According to the sources, Kodagu police is planning to form separate teams to trace the culprit. “We are investigating from all the angles including murder for gain. CCTV footage of the locality is being verified,” police said.
