HC dismisses PIL on Ganapathi suicide case-1

The complaint was filed by Nehal on July 11 seeking direction to Kodagu police to investigate against Bengaluru Development Minister K J George, and two IPS officers, IGP Pronab Mohanty and ADGP A M Prasad for abetting his father’s suicide.

Nehal had submitted a six-page complaint to the Kushalnagar Rural police on July 10, seeking to file FIR against the trio for ‘forcing’ his father to commit suicide. The police had refused to file FIR citing the reason that the CID was investigating the case.

DySP M K Ganapathi in an interview to a news channel hours before his death on July 7, blamed George, Mohanty and Prasad, foreseeing danger to his life.
