Chief Minister’s Relief Fund reserved for Kodagu: CM HDK

Madikeri: “The donors who have contributed to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, towards helping the flood victims of Kodagu, will not be misused or used for alternative purposes. It will completely be reserved for the rejuvenation of Kodagu and the flood victims”, assured Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, here on Wednesday, October 17.

Participating in a discussion with the flood victims, he said, “The money that is collected in the CM’s Relief Fund, was suggested to be used for the developmental purpose. Many had suggested the same. We are against it. We’ll see to that no penny goes waste.”

“Until now Rs 70-75 Crore have flown in. Government employees have announced that they would donate their one-day salary. By this, the amount is expected to reach a mark of Rs 102 Crore”, he added.

He assured that the government will look after the needy students’ one-year education expenses.

CM HDK guided the students saying, “Students interested to pursue higher education and need a loan with respect to it, can provide your documents to the Deputy Commissioner.”
