Madikeri: Two persons have been nabbed by the Somwarpete police in connection with a chain-snatching case here in Jambur village on December 16.

It may be recalled that Chinnavva wife of Kuttappa from Jambur village had lost her gold chain.

The arrested are Muddanda M Bheemayya and Muddanda B Kariyappa from Surlabbi village in Madapura.

During the interrogation the duo has confessed to have involved in over 7 other chain-snatching cases in the district, said SP P Rajendra Prasad here at a press meet.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of assistant commissioner P Muralidhara, DCIB department and police teams from Somwarpete and Kushalanagar.

The SP has announced cash reward for the police team for successfully cracking the case.
