Gonikoppalu: An engineering student died on the spot after car-bike collision here at Devarapura in south Coorg on July 6.

The deceased has been identified as Enok(22). Reports said that Enok and his friends were travelling to Shrikantapura from Mysore. The bikers were enjoying the ride chasing each other which caused the accident.

Eyewitnesses said that the bike hit the Honda city car coming from the opposite side after losing control due to high speed.

Ponnampete station inspector Shivalingayya, Circle inspector Raju visited the spot and the investigation is carried on.
