Virajpet: Actress Pooja Gandhi spent time with tribals at “Kesavina Kere” hamlet under Chennayanakote village limits in an attempt to woo voters for Janata Dal (Secular) candidate Sanketh Poovaiah.

Tribals accorded a traditional welcome to the actress accompanied by JDS campaign team and offered food during their campaign.

Shocked by their plight, Pooja Gandhi assured of reaching out to their problems in consultation with JDS State Chief H D Kumarswamy.

Speaking on the occasion, Sanketh Poovaiah, JDS candidate from Virajpet Assembly Constituency said the tribals had been facing problems since time immemorial and it had to be dealt forthwith.

Both asked the voters to support JDS to bring about changes in their livelihood.
