Mysuru: Let KPL tournament continue every year, said Mysuru royal family member Pramoda Devi Wadiyar.
Speaking after unveiling the portrait of Srikantadatta Narsimharaja Wadiyar at SDNRW Ground before the start of second leg of KPL matches in Mysuru, she said KPL should continue and grow.
Pramoda Devi is the wife of Late Srikantadatta Narasimhraja Wadiyar, the late Mysuru Maharaja, who headed the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA).
She wished well to both the teams, Mysuru Warriors and Bijapur Bulls. The KSCA authorities led by Secretary Sudhakar Rao escorted Pramoda Devi and introduced to both the team members. Dayanand Mane, In-charge Vice Chancellor of the University of Mysore was also present.
Good turnout:
For the first match in second leg of the tournament there was a good turnout. Though initially the crowd was poor, later as the match progressed especially after Mysuru Warriors elected to bat after winning the toss, people started arriving in large numbers.
