Nanjanagudu : A female leopard cub   has fallen into the trap laid for it in the plantation of one  Vatal Nagaraju   at Hadinaru Munti in the taluk on March 7, Friday morning.

The trap was laid by the forest department after local villagers who  had spotted at least three to four leopards in the area in the past few days  made several appeals to the department.

The trapped cub is said to be around one and a half years old. Range Forest Officer Siddaraju said the cub will be released in the Kollegala forests.
