KSOU controversy: Madhusudhan alleges tampering on MOM for financial gain

Mysuru: Reacting on the KSOU controversy, Professor and one of the members of board at KSOU – M G Krishnan MLC G Madhusudhan addressed a press meet on Tuesday June 23.

He informed that in a recent board of management meeting of KSOU that was held on June 12, there were several divisive subjects including financial implications of approving the excess payment of Rs 30 crores for various civil works taken up by the university.

Madhusudhan noted that he raised an objection in the meeting that this board has been barred from taking any financial and policy decision by the chancellor of the university by written order. This has been conveyed to us in view of committee headed by Justice Dr K Bhaktavatsala, which is enquiring into several aspects of irregularities causing financial loss to the university, he explained.

However he further said that, after raising this objection, the board members unanimously resolved to defer all such subjects in the agenda and only a few were passed. But on June 22, he received that the approved minutes of meeting by registrar of KSOU.

“I was astonished to see that the minutes were tampered for a financial benefit of over Rs 30 crores, although subjects which were deferred have been recorded as being passed as a majority decision, with a lone dissent of mine,” he added.

Being one of the members of board, MLC G Madhusudhan said, “I was placed at dark and in the meeting held in the previous year, the issue of license renewal was never brought into my”, he stressed.
