
Kodagu: Cadet Anush Antony of Sainik School, Kodagu has been selected for the National Level INSPIRE Award Science Competition to be held in New Delhi.
Cdt. Antony’s model “Quadcopter” was adjudged one of the best five science projects at the State Level INSPIRE Award Exhibition cum Competition organised by the Department of State Educational Research and Training (DSERT), from February 22 to February 24, at Jain Vidyalaya in Davanagere. The school children presented about 290 innovative projects in the exhibition this year.
Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) is a national programme to attract talents to the study of science and innovate from an early age. It aims to develop critical skills of youngsters in scientific research and development.
N Subbarangaiah, science teacher at Sainik School guided Antony in preparing his project. Principal Gp Capt. R R Lall, lauded the efforts and dedication of the boy in bringing laurels to the school.
