Mysuru: Unable to cope up with the harassment meted upon her by her husband, a lady resorted to first strangling her children to death and then attempted suicide by consuming poison at Periyapatna.

However, in this bid, Akshatha (7) and Arpitha (6) have died while their mother Shivamma is battling for life in a local hospital.

Resident of R D Koppa, Shivamma was fed up of her husband Ravi harassing her and had resorted to taking this extreme step to end the trauma, it is said.
