Mysore: The Janaspandana meeting organized by Mysore-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha at his office in Jaladarshini Guest House on Hunsur Road on Tuesday October 28, mainly addressed pending civic issues and monetary assistance from the adminstration.
Residents of Ramakrishnanagar E and F block complained that the roads around Saibaba Temple were marked with craters and sought the help of the MP.
Simha asked the residents to follow up with the area Corporator as it was MCC’s responsibility to maintain roads.
Office-bearers of Coorg Home Stay Association complained of indiscriminate growth of illegal home stays in Kodagu which was detrimental to tourism, for which Simha assured to speak to Kodagu DC to do the needful.
Residents of Vidyaranyapuram complained of stench from the solid waste treatment plant located in the area. Simha replied that four more treatment plants would come up soon so that the load would be distributed.
Later, speaking to press persons, the MP said that he proposed to develop 8 villages in the constituency under the MP’s Model Village Scheme by seeking assistance from private players.
Simha informed that he would be leaving for UK on November 2 for a week-long study tour along with seven other MPs.
