Mysuru: Mangalore based journalist Irshad Mohammad was conferred with Rotary Mysore Midtown Silicon Award for excellence in Journalism here on Wednesday.

Currently he works as staff photographer for Prajavani newspaper in Mysore. He has also worked in Newskarnataka and many other news portals as photo journalist.

Meera Appaiah of Star of Mysore also received the award from PDG Rtn M Laksminarayana at Rotary Centre.

The award has been constituted by Rtn S Raghavendra and Rtn M S Naveen Chandra of Silicon Controls India Pvt ltd Mysore.

Rtn R Venkatesh, president and Rtn T N Mohan Kumar, secretary of the club were present.
