Mysuru: The intellectuals’ silence on derecognition of Karnataka State Open University courses is really baffling, said former legislative council member from BJP G Madhusudan holding former vice chancellor of KSOU directly responsible for the mess.

Speaking to reporters at the Press Club, G Madhusudan urged for a CBI probe to solve the problem of 3.25 lakh students whose future remains uncertain due to UGC derecognition.

A letter in this regard will be sent to Prakash Javdekar, Minister for Human Resources and Development (HRD) at the Centre, Madhusudan stated.

Holding former KSOU VC Rangappa directly responsible for the bridge course scam, Madhusudan demanded criminal proceedings against him.

Copies of the letter demanding for a CBI probe will be sent to the present KSOU VC Shivalingaiah and JDS Supremo H D Devegowda, he added.
