Innumerable Devotees Get Glimpses of River Cauvery at its Origin

Madikeri: The innumerable devotees had the glimpses of mighty Cauvery River, the lifeline of south India at its origin Talakaveri.  The devotees also had holy dip into the sacred pristine waters.

MLA K G Bopaiah, MP H Vishwanat, Bhagandeshwar – Talakaveri temple governing council chairman Manumuttappa, ZP vice president Biddanda Ushadevamma, educatin and health overseeing Committee chairman Mani Nanjappa, members Babbeera Saraswati, Kanti Belyappa, Prathyu, Deputy Commissioner Anurag Tiwari, SP M N Anuchet, zilla panchayat CEO K B Anjanappa, ASP H Prasanna, DySP Abhiram G Shankar, temple governing council members Kodi Chandrashekar, Narayan Achar, K J Bharat, Kaveramma, Nagaveni, P D Muttanna, Manoj Kumar, K A Tammayya, Shakti – Kannada daily chief editor G Rajendra, temple CEO M Jagdish Kumar, local leaders Taloor Kishore Kumar, Suja Kushalappa and others were present on the occasion. 

The Vedic celebrations were held at Bhagamandala – Bhagandeshwar temple on the same occasion.  A few devotees offered puja at the Triveni Sangam, confluence of Cauvery River tributaries, for the repose of departed souls.  The tight security was provided to avoid any untoward incidents.
