Independence Day celebrated in Mysuru

Mysore: “India has changed a lot and is getting identified as Incredible India, Modern India, Changing India, Resurgent India and Digital India across the globe. India is creating a revolution by implementing the new technologies in the field of administration, education and others” said V Srinivas Prasad Mysuru District Incharge Minister and State Revenue Minister in his Independence Day Speech held at Oval’s Ground in Mysuru.

Speaking on the occasion he recalled “Freedom fighters and their struggle for Indian Independence during the British rules”. He opined we should respect the sacrifice of the freedom fighters.

Indian citizens are showing their power and political consciousness in every elections conducted since independence. Only 47% voting was recorded in the very first parliament elections but in 16th Parliament Elections it has been increased to 66.38% which signifies that people got to know the importance of voting. People have rejected the bad government in recent times and proved “Ballot is Stronger than Bullet”.

Naxalism, Terrorism, and communal clashes should be controlled and discrimination in society should be eliminated in order to build a better nation.

29 battalions participated in the parade from different police units and School and colleges.

School students performed Cultural programs which was also an element in the Independence programs.

District Administration officials were present during the occasion.
