Mysuru: IAS officer B Sharath, who was transferred from the post of Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru within 29 days of his initial appointment, has moved the Central Administrative Tribunal questioning this move of the state government.
Following this, the CAT has issued a notice to the state government seeking an explanation for the transfer and posted the hearing of the matter for October 6.
The IAS officer, while seeking the cancellation of his transfer, told the CAT that the state government has not stated a valid reason for the transfer and posted IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri as the new DC.
Many have raised the objection to the untimely transfer of Sharath.
As per government sources, the rising number of corona cases in Mysuru and the lack of planning to tackle the situation led to Sharath’s transfer.
