Hefty supari amount changed hands in history-sheeter Devu murder case!

Mysuru: Interrogation of the second accused by the police after obtaining body warrant has revealed shocking details which expose a supari link involving an amount of Rs 1 crore which led to history-sheeter Devu’s death at Paduvarahalli in Mysuru city.

It may be recalled history-sheeter Devu (35) was killed in the early hours of May 5, 2016. Case was registered against 19 people.

During interrogation the first accused Pavan has revealed the involvement of second accused Manju serving life term in the jail. According to Pavan, Manju had received Rs one cr as supari amount from an undisclosed international operator to execute the murder plan which resulted in Devu’s death.

On receiving shocking details DCP HT Shekhar led a team to Belagavi to bring back second accused Manju lodged at Hindalaga jail under body warrant. He was brought to Mysuru with adequate security from Jayalakshmipuram police, Mandi police and city armed reserve wing’s support.

Shocked senior police officials tighten grip

Soon after realizing the involvement of supari amount and a specialist killer from Bengaluru with international links, city police swung into action by including the incident under Control of Organised Crime Act.
