Mysuru: Keeping forth their demands for reservation in government job and separate budgetary allocation for them, hearing impaired persons, on Monday took out a protest rally in Mysuru from Kote Anjaneya Swamy temple to DC’s office.
The protesters said that apart from their main demands for reservation of job and budgetary allocation, there was an immediate need for other benefits which would enhance their skills and also standard of living.
Training hearing impaired teachers in sign language, increasing existing monetary benefit value to Rs 5000, concession and subsidized loans for self employed and transfers for individuals employed in state Government to ensure both spouses live together are among their demands.
Finally the protesters submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner listing their demands at the end of the rally.
