Hunsur: The BJP likely to filled GD Harish, son of JDS leader GT Devegowda in the Hunsur Assembly constituency by-election.

Disqualified JDS MLA and former president of the party’s state unit H Vishwanath reportedly convinced his former colleague to allow his son to contest on the BJP’s ticket.

The by-election has been necessitated in the Hunsur constituency following H Vishwanath’s resignation as part of the alleged “Operation Kamala”. “Vishwanath is not confident of winning the by-polls. So, he wants GTD’s son as the BJP candidate,” sources in the BJP said.

Meanwhile, the JDS and Congress are unlikely to continue their alliance in the by-polls. Both the parties have started looking out for suitable candidates who can take on the BJP.
