Gopal, at Hindu Samajotsava, “The UPA is practicing anti-Hindu policies”

Mysuru: After the district administration imposed a ban on Praveen Togadia, International Working President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) during the Samajotsava VHP Andhra-Karnataka Regional Organising Secretary Gopal berated the state’s administration.

Addressing the gathering, during the Samajotsava which was organized by the VHP Swarna Jayanti Utsav Samithi, at the Dasara Exhibition Grounds on March 11 Gopal said, “Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is responsible for the ban on Togadia, Gopal said that the CM had played politics. “From the past 10 years, the Congress-led UPA is practicing anti-Hindu policies. The result today is that only Karnataka is ruled by the Congress. It has been wiped out from all the other states and soon, the party will lose existence in Karnataka too,” he said.

He urged the community members not to entertain anti-national forces. “We have conducted over 20 sammelans and all of them were peaceful. Still the government has deployed forces at our Mysuru rally. We should fight against anti-conversion and are against forcible conversions,” he said.

Addressing the rally, Sri Trinetra Mahanta Shivayogi Swami of Durdundeshwar Mutt, Pandavapura said that Hindus should show strength and save the nation from anti-national forces.

He called upon parents to train their children in Dharma. “Teach Dharma to your children so that they grow up to be responsible citizens,” he added.

Gopal also took on the minorities; he said many Christian Missionaries, in the name of service, have been indulging in conversions he alleged Mother Teresa for conversion. However, disparity and injustice prevails in both Muslim and Christian communities as a result of which people are looking at Hindu community for religious freedom, he concluded.
